I always get the certain questions asked to me more frequently than other and one that pops up this time of the year is 1. "What height should are yard be?" 2. "Will this be the last lawn mowing service for the year?"
1st question. "What height should are yard be?"
- The height of your grass changes through the season. If you have bermuda grass you will start the year out with 2 in which that is what we call scalping and it is the optimal height for bermuda grass. In the summer time you raise up the height to 2-1/2 to 3 1/2 inches to help with the scorching summers blazing heat. Lastly you stop dropping the height back down to 2 inches for the winter time. On the last lawn mowing service you will want to bag everything up or dead grass will set on top of your grass all year long. This is a bad thing for your grass next year because the grass won't be able to grow as thick due to excess dead grass that is still there from the year before. So to sum it all up 2 inches in the spring, 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 in in the summer, and 2 inches in the fall.
2nd question. "Will this be the last Lawn Mowing Service for the year?"
- The last lawn mowing service for the year is typically November but in rare cases it is in December.
